Back to the Pumpkin Patch

It's becoming an annual tradition: Taking Evan to the Underwood Family Farms in Moorpark to pick out a pumpkin and take in their annual Fall Harvest Festival.

Above, Blogger Toddler, Maria and other family members wind their way through the festival's cornstalk maze. (It's a doozy of a maze this year -- took us quite a bit of time to find our way to the middle!)

The price of admission ($7.50 on Saturdays and Sundays; $3 on weekdays -- but kids under 2, including Blogger Toddler, are free) includes a tractor ride around the farm. The fest also includes live music, food, animals, games, etc. The games are pretty pricy -- I'd avoid them and stick with the maze, the tractor ride, feeding the animals, and of course, picking out a pumpkin. That's enough to make the drive and the admission worth your while.

The event continues through Oct. 31, daily from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. (5 p.m. after Oct. 29)
