Welcoming the Beckhams to Los Angeles

Now that Becks will be bending it here in Los Angeles for the Galaxy soccer franchise, and Posh will be... well, doing whatever it is she does, I've thrown together a handy list of British-centric restaurants and pubs in the area for them to pursue when they get homesick. Becks and Posh, we're here for you at Franklin Avenue.

  • The Cat & Fiddle Pub (6530 Sunset Blvd.): Popular pub; Morrissey used to hang out here all the time.

  • The Fox and Hounds (11100 Ventura Blvd., Studio City): Less special than some of the other pubs on this list, but in case you find yourself in the Valley...

  • H. Salt Esq. Fish and Chips (Various locations, including 4732 Hollywood Blvd. in Los Feliz): Fast food fish-n-chips.

  • Huntington Rose Garden Tea Room (1151 Oxford Rd., San Marino): Get your formal tea fix here.

  • Lucky Baldwin's (17 S. Raymond Ave., Pasadena): Pub with extensive beer selection.

  • Robin Hood Restaurant (13640 Burbank Blvd., Sherman Oaks) Another classic pub. Beer on tap, fish and chips, chicken curry pie, etc.

  • Tudor House (1403 2nd. St., Santa Monica): British-centric bakery, tea room, grocery.

  • Ye Olde Kings Head (116 Santa Monica Blvd., Santa Monica): Surprisingly decent food; close to beach in Santa Monica's little British district.

  • I know I'm missing a few. Any suggestions for two of L.A.'s newest residents?
