Quite Possibly the Best Children's TV Show, Ever

Nick Jr.'s "Yo Gabba Gabba" has quickly rocketed to the tops of the popularity charts for Blogger Toddler, who has watched the premiere episode -- no lie -- at least 10 times this weekend. (The show officially premieres tomorrow, and thankfully we'll have more episodes to watch beyond the screener I have.)

The show contains some of the most infectious music you've ever head on a kids program. Exhibit A: "Party in My Tummy," above. One viewing, and you'll have it in your head for days after ("So yummy! So yummy!").

"Yo Gabba Gabba," I predict, will also gain popularity on college campuses... and among the tweaked-out crowd.

Hosted by DJ Lance Rock -- who looks straight out of a 1980s rap video, sans Adidas -- "Yo Gabba Gabba" features DJ Lance and his friendly toy monsters as they sing, dance (frequently to madly catchy electronica beats) and teach plenty of life lessons to the under-5 set. Guests include Biz Markie, the Aquabats, Julius the Monkey, the Shins, Tony Hawk, Elijah Wood, and others. Devo's Mark Mothersbaugh does a regular drawing segment.

It's trippy. Even if you don't have a toddler, TiVo this Monday's episode and enjoy the utter weirdness of it all.
