L.A. Reality TV Wannabes, Mark Your Calendars



Looks like it's gonna be a busy summer for all you reality TV wannabes. Sorry to tell you that the "American Idol" auditions at the Rose Bowl have already passed... but there's several more chances this summer to claw your way onto the reality screens. Here's a few upcoming casting calls:

:: Bravo's upcoming untitled art project, from Sarah Jessica Parker and the Magical Elves ("Project Runway") takes place at LAXART on Saturday, July 11 and Sunday, July 12, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.

Details: "The Untitled Art Project will bring together thirteen aspiring artists to compete for a gallery show, a cash prize and a sponsored national tour."

:: The sixth season of Food Network's "The Next Food Network Star" will scout for contesants at Saddle Ranch (8371 Sunset Blvd. in West Hollywood) on Monday, Aug. 10 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Details: "The network will conduct a nationwide talent search and encourages both professional and amateur chefs to apply. Contestant hopefuls should bring an application, photograph, and resume and/or bio to the auditions, which will allow them to meet with network casting directors."

:: NBC's "The Biggest Loser" is looking for family teams of two -- including parent/child, siblings, husbands-and-wives, couples, cousins and in-laws - to compete in an upcoming edition of the weight-loss competition. Casting call will take place at the Citadel Outlets on Aug. 1 from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m.

Details: "Casting producers are looking for outgoing and charismatic family teams of two, especially those who have the personality, desire and competitive edge to vie for this once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to lose weight, change their lives forever and compete for a grand prize of $250,000. Individuals who don't have a partner can audition on their own. Candidates must be at least 18 years of age and legal residents of the United States. People will not be allowed to line up prior to three hours before the start of the open call. Candidates should bring a non-returnable photo of them and their partner."
