L.A. Conservancy Unveils This Year's Last Remaining Seats

Here's a tentative rundown of this year's annual Los Angeles Conservancy sponsored Last Remaining Seats. Broadway movie palaces set to house the event include the Los Angeles, Million Dollar and Orpheum Theatres.

As usual, our advice is to check out the Los Angeles Theatre first, if you've never been. Ditto the Million Dollar. The Orpheum is beautiful, but is much more accessible (as events are held there all the time). Here's the list:

May 26, Los Angeles Theatre
HOW TO SUCCEED IN BUSINESS WITHOUT REALLY TRYING (1967)
Musical comedy starring Robert Morse, Michele Lee, and Rudy Vallee

June 2, Million Dollar Theatre
STRANGERS ON A TRAIN (1951)
Alfred Hitchcock noir thriller starring Farley Granger, Ruth Roman, Robert Walker, and Leo G. Carroll

June 9, Orpheum Theatre
AMERICAN GRAFFITI (1973)
Instant classic directed by George Lucas with Ron Howard, Richard Dreyfuss, Cindy Williams, and many other future stars

June 16, Los Angeles Theatre
THE GRADUATE (1967)
One of the great films of all time, directed by Mike Nichols, starring Dustin Hoffman, Anne Bancroft, and Katharine Ross

June 23, Million Dollar Theatre, co-presented by the Latin American Cinemateca of Los Angeles
FLOR SILVESTRE (Wild Flower) (1943)
Romantic drama starring Dolores Del Rio and Pedro Armendáriz

June 30, Orpheum Theatre
PETER PAN (1924)
Enchanting silent version of the timeless classic
