Quarantine Cocktails: Craig's Honey Elderflower Mule
Variety's Showrunners Dinner -- a tradition we brought over from TV Guide -- was back this year, on Sept. 13, but in virtual form. Guests included Emmy-nominated showrunners Chris Van Dusen (“Bridgerton”), Eric Kripke (“The Boys”), Misha Green (“Lovecraft Country”), Steven Canals (“Pose”), Barry Jenkins (“The Underground Railroad”), Bruce Miller (“The Handmaid’s Tale”), Josh Heald, Jon Hurwitz and Hayden Schlossberg (“Cobra Kai”) and Jac Schaeffer (“WandaVision”), to name a few.
Food was provided by Craig's, which also sent a cocktail kit to mix their honey elderflower mule. Featuring Grey Goose vodka, St. Germain, honey, mint syrup, lime and ginger beer. Delicious.

Quarantine Cocktails: The First Glass After Dry January
Well, it was not necessarily easy to do during a pandemic, but I pulled it off -- Dry January is over, and time to celebrate with a glass of red. This is also the overdue celebration of Biden's inauguration and the hopeful end of a dark chapter in American history. Cheers!

Quarantine Cocktails: Conan O'Brien's "Conan Creamsicle"
I'm usually not one for overly sweet or creamy beverages, but all bets are off during the holidays. And this was perhaps my favorite alcoholic beverage of the recent holiday season, courtesy "Conan" and TBS: The "Conan Creamsicle" wasn't overly sweet, but it was very delicious.
Ingredients below, although I can't really tell you what was in the "Sherbet" mix, but it indeed tasted like a creamsicle!

Quarantine Cocktail: The Flight Attendant's Mile High Mai Tai
Our last quarantine cocktail came from HBO Max's "The Flight Attendant," and so does this one! As we wrote last time, the new show stars Kaley Cuoco as a flight attendant who has a rendezvous with a passenger at his hotel room — but then wakes up the next day and finds him dead. Last time, the appropriately named drink was the "Amnesia." This time, the beverage goes tropical with the "Mile High Mai Tai."
Delicious. But how could it not be? Two kinds of rum and the orange liqueur. But then the secret ingredient is the "mile high mix," which I assume includes lime and coconut juices.

Quarantine Cocktail: The Flight Attendant Amnesia Edition
HBO Max's new series "The Flight Attendant" stars Kaley Cuoco as a flight attendant who has a rendezvous with a passenger at his hotel room — but then wakes up the next day and finds him dead. What happened? She has no idea. And that's the inspiration for this appropriately named drink, the "Amnesia."
Ingredients include vodka, amaro, and Oubliette mix. The recipe below:

Quarantine Cocktails: Big Sky Mule Edition
ABC threw a virtual premiere event on Thursday night for "Big Sky," its new drama from David E. Kelley. The series, set in Montana, is a bit of a thriller -- with surprise twists throughout. Speaking of twists, as part of its "Big Sky" premiere delivery, "attendees" were given mixers to create a twist on the traditional Moscow Mule — in this case, a "Big Sky Mule." The secret is the Cold Spring huckleberry vodka. (Apparently, huckleberries are a thing in Montana?) The Cock & Bull ginger beer is a nice touch -- love the extra ginger kick. Here's the recipe:

Quarantine Cocktails: Romulan Whiskey Edition
To promote the new animated series "Star Trek: Lower Decks" and its premiere party last week, CBS All Access sent over the fixings for a "Romulan Whiskey." It's pretty -- a blue-green -- and includes tasty burbon whiskey. But alas, a bit too sweet for my tastes. I'd probably go without the simple syrup next time. Recipe below:
