Having grown up in the 1980s, I probably watched "The Goonies" at least two dozen times. There was something about that movie that resonated with us Gen Xers -- and it's safe to say it wasn't Corey Feldman.
But it's probably been at least a decade, maybe more, since I last caught "The Goonies." Atwater Village is screening the movie under the stars on Friday, July 17. The free screening takes place at the Los Feliz Golf Course in Atwater Village.
Meanwhile, if you're looking to double your 80s movie pleasure, the Americana at Brand will be screening "Sixteen Candles" outdoors on Wednesday, July 15.
