KCRW Becomes More Eclectic

KCRW launches a new online music channel on Monday, dubbed Eclectic24, which promises to dig deeper into the public radio station's digital library of more than 500,000 songs and archive of more than 2,000 live performances and interviews.

KCRW will introduce the channel by running it all day on Monday, Sept. 7, over the air at its normal 89.9 signal (with a break for "All Things Considered" from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m.).

More:

“Music fans still want to be surprised and turned on to something completely unexpected -- that’s the beauty of radio. What’s special about this new channel is that it combines those fresh ideas with the rich history of our station in a non-stop music stream for our fans worldwide,” said KCRW Music Director and host of Morning Becomes Eclectic Jason Bentley.

“Our online-only music stream is already one of the chief reasons people visit KCRW.com and Eclectic24 will truly reflect the essence of everything that we are, musically.”

Eclectic24’s programming curator is current KCRW DJ and former Music Director Chris Douridas.
