Weekend in Los Angeles: Preschool Holidays and Unique L.A.

Anyone complains that L.A. doesn't put them in the holiday mood isn't trying hard enough. This past weekend alone locals could celebrate with the Atwater Village Christmas Tree lighting and festival, the Eagle Rock tree lighting, the Los Feliz Holiday Festival, the Montrose Christmas Parade and the Casa Adobe de San Rafael Open House and Fiesta De las Luminarias in Glendale, among other events. Then there's the ever-growing number of outdoor skating rinks in the area (including, of course, our favorite -- the Pershing Square rink).

We didn't get a chance to do half the amount of L.A. events we had hoped to hit this weekend. Part of the time we spent decorating our own tree. We also celebrated the Winter Solstice at Blogger Boy's annual preschool holiday festival:

Evan's preschool event included fake snow to sled on; train rides; Santa; plenty of food and games.

Later, it was off to the Unique L.A. craft show downtown (where we saw Friends of Franklin Avenue JustJenn and Emmie.)
