Sad restaurant news to report, particularly for those of us in this part of the town: Our pal Scott at Tropico Station reports that Palate Food + Wine has shut down. According to Scott, a sign on the front door says the restaurant "will be temporarily closed for reorganization."
In restaurantspeak, that means it's all over. What a shame. Palate was lauded by critics and named to many "best restaurants" lists, and became a rarity in Glendale: An acclaimed restaurant that people sought out.
