Spread the news: Trader Joe's Silver Lake location has extended its hours to 9:30 p.m., due to popular demand. Yup, that means an extra 30 minutes of opportunity to get hit by a car racing down Hyperion.
But speaking of L.A.'s most dangerous Trader Joe's, the long-awaited traffic lights are finally being installed at the crosswalk between TJ's and Gelson's. The lights aren't operating yet, but soon we'll (hopefully) have a safer intersection. It may slow down Hyperion (which can be painfully gridlocked at certain times of day) but if it prevents pedestrian deaths (or biker injuries), then it's worth the extra wait.
