Last October, a friend and I went to check out the beauty of the Watts Towers but we got there 15 minutes before closing time. Unfortunately, they lock the gates to the structure and we were not able to have a closer inspection. We admired from afar but noticed a group of people walking around it. They seemed to be having a private tour at the time and we went over to see if we could join them.
It turns out, they were writers from Six Feet Under doing research. I saw that episode this past weekend as Claire and her friend were admiring the work of Simon Rodia.
