Maria and I decided to come up with a big list of resolutions this year (although, strangely enough, we didn't write them down--we only verbalized them). One of them was to start a blog--hence this little webpage you're checking out right now. Maria also wanted to pick up knitting, a hobby she's obsessed with (in a good way, of course...) right now. We also resolved to get our thank you notes done by the end of January.
OK, so that didn't happen. But here's another resolution we've kept up with so far (granted, it's only been twice): Climbing the Santa Monica steps at least once a month. Talk about a workout. I go up and down five times, and I'm pooped. Having the ocean so close by helps, as does heading to the Coffee Bean afterwards for an ice blended. I suppose the steps have become a "scene"--and indeed, there are staircases all over town (including in our very own Franklin Hills) that are probably even better. But it's an interesting scene nonetheless.
