President Bush and Prime Minister Tony Blair had a joint press conference today and you could tell which leader is more eloquent. When Bush welcomed questions from the press, he pointed out that each person should just limit "their questions to one question per... question." I winced while listening to that in my car. Was I listening to an SNL sketch?
Bush's reply to why the military outlook for how long it would take the war to end varied from "swift" to months was "We'll be there for however long it takes." That's it. No further explanations. Blair in the meantime was very specific in his answers and it is clear that these two men have different outlooks for our world.
