Philippines-based fast food chain Jollibee is about to open its first location in the area, not too far from us in Eagle Rock's Westfield Shopping Centre.
Jollibee offers up the standard fast food fare (burgers, fried chicken) and much more, including sweet spaghetti, Pancit Palabok , mango shakes and more. It's a little taste of the P.I.... right around the corner from us.
Actually, Jollibee is just one of several chains from the Philippines that have traveled across the Pacific to SoCal... and most of them have outposts right here in Glendale. Other spots include rival bakeries Goldilocks (also soon to open in the Eagle Rock Westfield center) and Red Ribbon; fried chicken chain Max's; and Barrio Fiesta.
