JUBILEE SOUTH COAST CONGRATULATES CHIP AND KIM McALLISTER ON THEIR MILLION DOLLAR WIN ON CBS’ AMAZING RACE

Local Couple Wins Top Prize in a Race Around the World

SAN JUAN CAPISTRANO, Calif., Sept. 23, 2004 – Jubilee South Coast (www.jubileesouthcoast.org), a growing nondenominational church in southern California, today extended its heartfelt congratulations to members Chip and Kim McAllister on the couple’s Tuesday night million-dollar victory on CBS’ “The Amazing Race” reality show. The couple triumphed over three other teams in the season finale, covering more than 72,000 miles over six continents and 11 countries to earn the top prize.

“Jubilee South Coast is so proud of Chip and Kim and we want to congratulate them on their accomplishment,” said Steve Hage, pastor of Jubilee South Coast. “Our entire congregation has been supporting them and rooting for them as they continued to overcome every challenge, high and low point each week of the race.”

Contestants on the reality show had to compete in a race around the world that took them to places such as South America, Africa, Middle East, Asia and Russia where they faced challenges that pushed the competitors’ physical and emotional limits. The final leg of the race took them to Dallas, Texas where Chip and Kim experienced an emotional ending across the finish line.

“We are still so blown away by this experience, it is hard to put our feelings into words,” said Chip McAllister, the owner of a Web technology company in Mission Viejo, CA. “We were able to see and experience things we never thought possible in our lifetime. We are especially thankful for our friends and loved ones at Jubilee South Coast. It was such a blessing to know that we had an entire congregation back at home praying for us, and cheering us on.

The McAllisters live in Coto de Caza and have been attending Jubilee South Coast since its inception in 2001.
