No Rain

Apparently we've already seen more rain this year in Southern California than we normally do in an entire year. What's more, we've outpaced Seattle and San Francisco so far in 2005.

Our house is withstanding this latest rain assault so far -- but just barely. We're already detecting leaks in our garage roof, which we had fixed after the last round of storms. (Yes, the roofers have been contacted.)

They weren't quite as lucky at the Virgin Megastore in Burbank on Friday -- a clogged drain led to a partial collapse of the roof (above). No one was hurt... but those poor, poor CDs!
