Los Angeles: Ad Town

Another in our series of TV spots shot in Los Angeles. Today's edition: The Diet Pepsi spot featuring P. Diddy, Xzibit and (yup) Carson Daly.

Ad opens with Diddy stuck in the desert, his ride overheated. Diddy flags down the only vehicle for miles: A Diet Pepsi truck. I'm late for a movie premiere, he tells the driver.

Diet Pepsi driver takes Diddy to the premiere -- where attendees (including Daly) are wowed by his new wheels. Hummers become passe -- Diet Pepsi trucks are the choice vehicle for folks like "Pimp My Ride's" Xzibit.

Final scene of the ad shows Diddy walking down Hillhurst in Los Feliz, when Carson Daly comes cruising down the street in his tricked-out Diet Pepsi truck. Shown above, that's the truck driving by Farfalla on Hillhurst.
