Billy Blanks Saves The Day

Granted, there's absolutely no silver lining to the horrific Hurricane Katrina aftermath. But at the very least, it's given Tae-Bo maestro Billy Blanks something to do for the first time since his late-90s moment in the spotlight.

From the press release files:

BILLY BLANKS HOSTS ‘LABOR OF LOVE’ FOR HURRICANE KATRINIA RELIEF

LOS ANGELES CAN GET FIT ON LABOR DAY AND HELP THOSE IN NEED

In the aftermath of the horrible devastation caused by Hurricane Katrina, the Billy Blanks Foundation and the World Training Center will be hosting a fundraiser on Labor Day to raise support for the American Red Cross as they rush aid to the victims of this devastating disaster. This event, Labor of Love, will be held on Monday, Labor Day, at the WTC. Near or far- you can help!

For those near the WTC, 3 classes will be offered that morning- 7:30am with Shellie, 8:30am with Billy, 9:30am with John. Cost for each class is $20 (pre-payed classes and packages will not apply) with 100% of the proceeds going to the American Red Cross.

Those who are not local can help too by sending a donation to the WTC to:

Billy Blanks Foundation
14708 Ventura Blvd.
Sherman Oaks, CA 91403
Attn: Labor of Love

*Please make checks payable to the Billy Blanks Foundation (one large check will be made to the Red Cross)

Or a credit card donation can be made by calling 818-325-0335 and pressing 0.

Please join in the awesome opportunity to help those who in desperate need, and get fit in the process!

That last sentence, I'm afraid, is why the rest of the country hates Los Angeles.
