L.A.'s Creepiest Screening Room

Forget Harmony Gold or 20th Century Fox's Darryl F. Zanuck Theater -- the hot screening room of the moment appears to be the Hollywood Forever Cemetery (above).

Of course, the regular summer Cinespia screenings -- which include classic movies and live DJs -- kicked off the trend. This year, by popular demand, Cinespia has extended its cemetery screenings through September.

Now, CBS and Paramount are even using the cemetery to showcase some of its new fall dramas.

That includes, no surprise, the new Jennifer Love Hewitt drama "The Ghost Whisperer" (not to be confused with the horse whispering and baby whispering folks).

CBS and Par are screening the pilot at Hollywood Forever for fans on Friday, Sept. 9, will also show a sneak preview of new drama "Threshold." Hewitt and Carla Gugino will be there, along with Robert Patrick Benedict, David Conrad, Peter Dinklage, Charles S. Dutton, Brent Spiner and Aisha Tyler ("CSI") Just don't disturb the ghost of Douglas Fairbanks Sr.

As for Cinespia, the series will next screen the Robert Mitchum flick "Night of the Hunter" this Saturday -- gates open at 7; film will show after sundown, at 8:30. $10 donation is requested.
