What is it about former KTLA news staffers and reality shows? First, ex-Channel 5 entertainment "reporter" Mindy Burbano winds up on TBS' "The Real Gilligan's Island."
Now comes word that ex-"KTLA Morning News" anchor Giselle Fernandez (she of the Casa Giselle website) has been cast on the second season of ABC's "Dancing With the Stars."
Fernandez will go up against NFL great Jerry Rice, Oscar winner Tatum O'Neal, "Wayne's World" star Tia Carrere, pro tanner George Hamilton, WWE star Stacy Keibler, SoapNet host Lisa Rinna, ex-Jessica Simpson bro-in-law Drew Lachey, ESPN host Kenny Mayne, and Romeo -- the rapper formerly known as Lil' Romeo.
Next up: Hal Fishman and Sam Rubin quit their KTLA gigs to team up and compete on the next edition of "The Amazing Race."
