I just got back from the Port of Long Beach where I taking pictures for my photography class. After a few minutes there, some police rolled by and I was detained for taking photographs. Supposedly, since 9/11, you’re not allowed to take pictures in the port without a permit from the port authority.
Even though the police guys were pretty cool about it and explained the situation, they confiscated my roll of film and took down my information . It just sucks because there aren’t any signs about the photography ban, nor can I find anything on their website about it. Hope my professor understands why my project is incomplete. "Umm... The Deparment of Homeland Security ate my homework."
