Starsky & Hutch Celebrities Descend On ‘Stars For Charity Expo’ in Birch Run

The upcoming 2006 Hollywood Stars For Charity Expo may look more like an episode from the 70's cult-classic, buddy-cop TV show, Starsky & Hutch.

Known the world over as the lovable, street-wise informant, "Huggy Bear", Antonio Fargas will be among the many celebrity guests on hand to meet and greet fans, and sign autographs. Along with Antonio Fargas is veteran actor and former professional wrestler, Scott L. Schwartz who played "Fat Ron" in the 2004 movie, “Starsky & Hutch."

Antonio’s Huggy Bear was the street wise entrepreneur who always had the word on the street to help out Starsky & Hutch in solving the weekly crimes. Huggy’s colorful persona of wise sayings, cool clothes, and cool hats were a hit with the fans. Huggy always seemed to have the answers, the connections to solve the crimes, and the word on the street.

Antonio recently appeared on stage in Lexington, Kentucky as the lovable chauffeur, Hoke in “Driving Miss Daisy”. Antonio’s film credits include: “Jack’s Law”, “The Riff”, “Suckerpunch”, “FireStarter”, among many others. Antonio has many television credits, which include: “Everybody Hates Chris”, “Eve”, “The District”, “FastLane”, “MacGyver”, “Miami Vice”, “Kojak”, “The Love Boat”, and “Charlie’s Angeles”.

Themed with "healthy lifestyles," the weekend-long charity expo will have something for everyone including 161+ health, fitness, and wellness vendors, key note presenters, Hollywood stars, shows, fitness competitions, and workshops.

The Birch Run Expo Center is located in Birch Run, Michigan, conveniently off the I-75 freeway and Birch Run Exit next to the Birch Run Outlet Stores. Hours are Saturday and Sunday 8am - 10pm, celebrity and vendors area open 10am - 6pm; (March 25 & 26, 2006).

Wait, Huggy Bear as Hoke in a stage interpretation of "Driving Miss Daisy"?! Dammit, Lexington gets all the good theater!
