It's been a tough month for the Philippines -- a tragic mudslide killed thousands, while an alleged coup attempt sparked a national crisis. Maria's friend Gege sent out a collection of photos to help counteract some of that bad news. She writes:
Yes, these days, finding something to love about our country seems so hard. But not impossible. It's just a drive away to the bay. The first set of photos (the one with many boats) was taken at the Manila Yacht Club and the other set (the one with the bike and the rowers) was taken at Baywalk. The pictures can't quite capture how pretty it is to be there in person. So, take my advice and go there to see how awesome the Manila sunset is. Coffee at Figaro optional.
