Signs like these have been placed around mid-Wilshire since last Thursday.
Traffic was light as I made the way this morning from Glendale to mid-Wilshire. A glance down at the 5 freeway, while traveling on the Los Feliz overpass, showed smooth sailing.
As I got closer to La Brea and Wilshire, cops were starting to place orange cones on the boulevard, while TV satellite trucks were beginning to congregate. But it was still too early for much activity. Our mid-Wilshire building is emptier than usual -- it was no problem getting a parking spot -- as it appears several offices in our building decided to shut down for the day (or at least told employees to work from home).
News trucks start to congregate around Wilshire and La Brea, around 10 a.m.
