I can't remember the last time I was as excited about a record release... but Gnarls Barkley -- the collaboration between Danger Mouse and Cee-Lo (above, parodying "A Clockwork Orange") -- has topped my list of must-have releases for months. Their CD, "St. Elsewhere," is out today.
I first heard the lead track, "Crazy," on KCRW -- and quickly added it to my March playlist. Of course the song has been everywhere in recent months, and has even been added to heavy rotation on KROQ (?!) -- hopefully not a "jump the shark" sign.
