It's the moment I'd been dreading for weeks. Our latest bill from Glendale Water & Power showed up yesterday -- and it wasn't pretty. $418.89 -- by far our biggest bill ever.
If it's any consolation, the bill spans two months -- May 30 to August 2 -- and we've been using the air conditioning much less as of late.
But let's not mince words: It was a bad two months. We used up 1476 kWh; in comparison, last year over the same time frame we used 879 kWh. And in the previous two-month billing cycle (April and May), we used 689 kWh. Yeah, this bill stings.
