LA Fire Department spokesman Brian Humphrey's LA Fire Department News and Information blog is going on hiatus for the near future:
The LAFD blog will be on hiatus due to staffing. We hope to return to regular postings of significant Los Angeles Fire Department incidents, events and issues soon.
Let's hope those staffing issues are resolved soon and Brian's back on the blogging beat. Brian has done an amazing job with the blog, posting pics and detailed accounts of major LAFD activity. It's a model for how every city blog should operate -- but few come close in the speed and sheer amount of content. Brian also regularly monitors other L.A. blogs and will add a comment to help clear up confusion or answer questions related to the LAFD.
