They stipulated: Pie 'n Burger does things the old-fashioned way: No credit cards. And no menus: Check out the board above the lunch counter. (The prices, however, are decidedly not old-fashioned.)

We stipulated: We were hungry, and originally went to Din Tai Fung in Arcadia to get our dumpling on. But the place was packed -- so we decided to regroup and think of something else. I've wanted to hit Pie 'n Burger for years, based on the stellar word of mouth. I'm embarrassed to say I'd never been... so we decided to jump back on the 210 and head back to Pasadena to get our burger on instead.
