Our Superstar Kitchen Installer

Bravo's Top Design ended its run on Wednesday night with one last challenge: The two finalists were asked to design their dream loft at downtown's Santa Fe Lofts -- and given $150,000 worth of merchandise from the Pacific Design Center to complete their look.

The two finalists, Carisa and Matt, were also given a free kitchen as part of the design. What the show didn't mention is that the kitchens came straight from the Burbank IKEA.

How did we know? Well, we were amused to see the guy who installed our kitchen cabinets (twice!), Matt (different Matt from the finalist) on screen!

It's actually not the first time we've seen our IKEA installer Matt on TV. Because the company he works for has a virtual monopoly on all IKEA Burbank installations (IKEA workers pass out their card and strongly recommend their service), Matt seems to be the guy who always ends up on camera installing cabinets in the flurry of real estate makeover shows shot here in L.A.

Meanwhile, I gotta say I disagree with the judges' decision to award Matt (the contestant) the Top Design top prize. Carisa's design was young, fun and hip -- while Matt's seemed rather dull.

Plus, I can't get over this shot of Matt's wall of photos. Yup, that's a shot of him pressing his head next to his naked wife's pregnant belly. Oh no he di-int! I just don't get those pregnant wife/naked husband glamour shots that nonetheless seem to be popular. Cheeeeesy!
