Megan Jacobs (check out her MySpace page here) is a staffer at the Roxy who's gaining some notice as an artist in her own right. She'll be celebrating the release of her album "Prosperity" at the Roxy on Saturday, Aug. 4 (at 8:30 p.m.) as the opening act to Si*Se, in a show sponsored by KCRW.
Check out the Roxy's raving about Megan here. Her folk/ambient/soul sound should mesh perfectly with Si*Se, which first gained notice (and heavy KCRW airplay) with their self-titled debut in 2001.
