Another TV Network Comes to Los Angeles
TuVisión, a new Spanish-language network launched by the Pappas Telecasting station group, will launch on L.A.'s KAZA Channel 54 next June, after its affiliation deal with Azteca America expires.
Move comes after Pappas and Azteca America saw their relationship collapse earlier this year. Pappas has already dumped Azteca and launched TuVisión on stations in Houston, San Francisco and elsewhere; the iron-clad L.A. contract has prevented that switch here.
So far, TuVisión's programming doesn't sound that impressive: It's mostly old movies and library product, mixed in with a few acquisitions.
