Back in April, I wrote about the Blogger Toddler's run-in with the living room subwoofer:
Evan, Maria and I were playing with toy trains last night when Evan, out of the blue, sighs, "Me sad!"
"Why are you sad?" we ask, our hearts breaking at Evan's cute admission of emotion.
"Me lose the choo-choo in the tunnel!"
Six months later, you wouldn't believe how much BT's vocabulary has changed. (For starters, he'd now probably say, "I'm sad.")
But more importantly, now that we have real conversations with the little guy, Maria realized yesterday that she could now direct him in sticking his little hand inside the subwoofer and pulling out the missing train himself.
He did. As well as a few legos, a plastic egg and another tiny toy. Apparently he'd gone through quite a "let's stick things in the tunnel" phase at the start of the year (soon after we bought the unit)!
Above, the items rescued yesterday from the subwoofer. Apparently, BT had learned the lesson of the choo-choo train, as he hadn't put anything else there in several months.
