Scenes From a 99 Cents Only Store, one in a series

Most of my 99 Cents Only posts are tongue-in-cheek, highlighting some of the wildly inappropriate or just bizarre items being pushed there.

But let's face it, the 99 Cents Only store is awesome, particularly if you're looking for cool, unusual candies (many of which failed in the marketplace) ... and more. Some highlights from our latest finds:


Minty, chocolatey mints. These are pretty damn good. Nice find.


Cheap, but hopefully effective, cell phone ear piece. I can tell you now, this will break in a month. But nice while it lasts.


Uniqua's ready for anything. Given the usually waay outdated books or obscure never-quite-successful franchises sold at the 99 Cents Only store, interesting to see several items from the wildly popular "The Backyardigans" for sale.


Bert and Ernie do juice. Also: Big Bird apple juice and Elmo fruit punch.


Play-Doh for less than a dollar? I'm in.
