Los Angeles Ad Town: The Downtown Slip 'N Slide

Last month, both LAist and Blogging.la printed photo essays of a giant Slip 'N Slide on the streets of Downtown. It was a commercial shoot... but there wasn't much info beyond that.

Last night, I caught the nationally telecast ad (which ran during "Dancing with the Stars"). It was a spot for Dodge. Here are some screen grabs:

An SUV speeds past Olive...

... and parks in the middle of the street. The passengers race out, open the trunk...

... and pull out "World's Longest Water Slide" -- which promises that it's "really, really long!" (It's, of course, a fictional item -- but this real one is pretty close.) That website on the box, by the way, touts www.worldslongestwaterslide.com -- which leads to this under construction website.

Rolling out the slide...
