Final Entry in the L.A. Times Comic Derby: "Stone Soup"
And so we're down to the last of three contenders filling in for the on-hiatus "Doonesbury" in the L.A. Times funny pages. "Stone Soup," by Jan Eliot, revolves around a single mom and her two pre-teen daughters.
Again, like the other two entries ("Doug Eat Dog" and "Cafe Con Leche"), I'm not finding anything all that special about "Stone Soup." But check it out for yourself. "Doonesbury" is back on June 16.
