L.A.'s Own Mac Daddy

My friend Jenny has recently launched the food blog Grubtrotters with her hubby Victor -- and Jenny does nothing half-way. The site is already chock full of interesting food and restaurant tidbits, including this piece on a new local Mac n' Cheese delivery service.

You heard right. We may not have anything quite like S'mac here, but the new Paddy Mac comes close.

Paddy Aubrey recently launched the service, which is run out of Hollywood but cooked out of a kitchen in Culver City. Aubrey, a musician by trade, happens to be married to former ABC Entertainment president Jamie Tarses, now exec producer of TBS' "My Boys." The chef currently whips up five different kinds of Mac n Cheese for delivery:

The Ship: "Our flagship: 5 kinds of cheese, creamy sauce, and a crispy top"

Big Paddy Mac: "Burger, a sweet and savory Tomato Sauce, and five cheeses"

Old MacDonald's: "Bacon, broccoli, pockets of goat’s cheese, feta and five cheeses"

Gourmet Mac: "Leeks, mushrooms, a touch of Gruyere and five more cheeses"

Truffled Mac: "Decadent and delicious"

Jenny and Victor gave a thumb's up, and wrote that the best seller remains "The Ship."
