Headline Here: Downsized L.A. Times More Mistake-Prone
This week marked the first Sunday-only edition of the Los Angeles Times' California section -- which has now been reduced to appearing as a stand-alone just once a week (California news is now a part of the front section the rest of the week).
It was a shaky start to the new setup: Check out the big mistake, right there on the California front. See where it says "Headline"? Yeah, that's where a headline should actually go. Guess no one had the time or remembered to replace that place holder with an actual headline. But given how many staffers have been cut over the past year -- with more on the way -- this is probably what we should probably brace ourselves for. Get ready for more careless errors in the paper!
