FRANKLIN AVENUE IN NEW YORK: The Staten Island Ferry
There's still no better deal in all of New York than the Staten Island Ferry. And considering how much the Blogger Preschooler enjoys riding the "big boat," it's worth every non-penny. Since we already visited the Statue of Liberty the last time we were here with Evan, he was content this time with simply riding past it. And of course, he got a big thrill when we passed another ferry heading the opposite direction.
Meanwhile, it's still odd, nearly eight years later, not to see the World Trade Center towers while floating away from downtown and Battery Park.
