FCC Busts Another Los Angeles Radio Pirate

All Access reports that Los Angeles' Ateret Israel and Netan Eli Hebrew Academy have been cited by the FCC for running an unlicensed radio station from 1518 S. Robertson in Los Angeles.

Here's the FCC filing:

The Los Angeles Office received information that an unlicensed broadcast radio station on 92.1 MHz was allegedly operating in the Los Angeles, CA area. On May 28, 2009, agents from this office confirmed by direction finding techniques that radio signals on frequency 92.1 MHz were emanating from 1518 S Robertson Blvd, Los Angeles, CA. The Commission’s records show that no license was issued for operation of a broadcast station at this location on 92.1 MHz in Los Angeles, California.

As you can see from their website above, the school has been pretty brazen about the unlicensed station, even promoting it on their website. Because the pirate runs on 92.1, it could be causing interference to KHHT-FM (92.3) "Hot 92.3."
