The Shirtless Silver Lake Walker's Media Blitz

Turns out walking around your neighborhood topless day after day, week after week, will eventually make you a superstar.

That's the case with Marc Abrams, the 58-year-old doctor who has been speedwalking around Silver Lake for 30 years on daily 20-mile urban hikes. The kicker, of course, is that Abrams is always shirtless -- and as you might expect, pretty tan. He's also almost always reading the newspaper. That's made him a bit of a folk hero in the neighborhood, where Abrams sightings are quite common.
