ABC unveiled an aggressive new fall schedule on Tuesday, introducing a comedy block on Tuesday and big changes on Wednesdays, Thursdays and Sundays.
Like NBC on Wednesdays next fall, ABC will open Tuesdays with two brand new comedies – kicking off with the Tim Allen series Last Man Standing.
ABC will also give two of its key new series major positions: Charlie's Angels will be deployed for combat duty on Thursdays at 8 p.m. opposite Fox's The X Factor and CBS' The Big Bang Theory. And buzzed-about new 1960s period drama Pan Am lands the spot behind Desperate Housewives on Sunday.
Also on ABC's Sunday extreme makeover, newcomer Once Upon a Time takes over the Sunday night 8 p.m. slot formerly held by Extreme Makeover: Home Edition (which moves to Fridays). ABC is going with all reality on Fridays.
On the bench for midseason: Apartment 23, Good Christian Belles, Missing, The River, Work It and returnees Cougar Town and Secret Millionaire.
