Retro Friday: From 1979, How to Use Your MCA DiscoVision Player
Long before the DVD, there were laserdiscs. The originator of the laserdisc? MCA DiscoVision Inc., a division of entertainment giant MCA. DiscoVision was first started in 1969; by 1979, the industrial laserdisc player had hit the market. The instructional video, found on a 1979 Laserdisc, features J. D. Cannon has he explains how to use the machine. It seems like a parody, but it's all real.
