The Rise of the Pumpkin-Flavored Everything
This is the year the pumpkin flavor truly took over. It's not just the arrival of Pumpkin Spice Lattes anymore. Head to your nearest supermarket -- or perhaps more amazing, Trader Joe's -- to find the most incredible assortment of pumpkin flavored items ever known. Tonight Maria and I tried the Trader Joe's pumpkin flavored macarons... and we almost ate the entire package. Our new favorite thing. I've also enjoyed the pumpkin toaster pastries, the pumpkin waffles, and -- of course -- pumpkin ice cream. I stopped by McDonald's the other day to grab a baked pumpkin pie (but let's face it, it's just not as good as those fried McDonald's pies of our youth). I've stocked up on Pumpkin Spice Coffeemate creamer. And of course, we've already gone through a bag of Pumpkin Spice M&Ms. 'Tis the season!

I normally love pumpkin flavored anything, but I did not like the pumpkin frozen waffles. However, I will be getting the TJ's pumpkin macarons and mini pies on my way home this afternoon.
Whoa, that's a lot of pumpkin products. I'm skeptical about pumpkin flavored frozen yogurt. What's the next new fangled pumpkin flavored item -- pumpkin flavored shaved ice?
