What's With Those "Bring Back Crystal Pepsi" Billboards?
As spotted on a billboard in Glassell Park. Apparently the movement to bring back Crystal Pepsi is really a thing:
Here's the Facebook page surrounding the campaign, as well as the Twitter feed for LA Beast, who's helping lead the charge. About 30,000 people have signed the Change.org petition so far.
It turns out this movement has been going on for years; here's another Twitter feed from 2010. Can it work? A similar campaign to bring back Coke's Surge soda (their version of Mountain Dew) was partially successful.
Fans of Crystal Pepsi had their emotions toyed with last year, when a satirical website claimed the beverage had been revived. Turns out it was just a cruel, cruel joke.
Here's a 1993 ad celebrating the launch of Crystal Pepsi -- and based on the Van Halen video to "Right Now":
In the meantime, if you're really itching for clear soda, Original New York Seltzer is making a comeback.

This Facebook page has more fans than the one you linked to, but I don't think there is an "official" one or anything: https://www.facebook.com/BringbackCrystalClearPepsi
(There are several others as well)
