SoCal Holiday: Touring the L.A. Zoo Lights
The lame Griffith Park holiday light display is long gone, but there's an even better light display now on display in the park: The LA Zoo Lights.
The curated experience features unique holiday light displays and music throughout the zoo at night. Visitors can take their time walking through the displays, and along the way visit the LAIR (Living Amphibians, Invertebrates, and Reptiles), visit with Santa, ride the carousel, watch the reindeer and... dance.
Near the opening of the Zoo and next to Reggie the Alligator's home.
"We're not here to entertain," the reindeer say.
Music curated by KCRW!
Most of the zoo's animals are asleep after dark. But have no fear, there's room for snakes, lizards and other creepy crawling things!

The L.A. Zoo lights continues through Jan, 3. Pick a weeknight and avoid the intense local crowds.
The weekends also feature special weekend performances and theme nights. Photos with Santa take place weekends through Dec. 20, then nightly on Dec. 21 through 23.
