Luis Guzman Would Be Proud

Fox sent reporters a pizza making kit in fall 2003 to promote its Friday night lineup -- "Wanda at Large," "Luis" and "Boston Public."

Those shows are long gone. But the pizza kit -- which included a deep dish pan, pizza dough flour, yeast, pizza sauce and a pizza cutter -- collected dust deep inside our kitchen pantry. Until this Saturday.

After salivating over pizza on the Food Network, we pulled out the kit and made the pie from scratch. We poured in cheese, spinach and pepperoni, then topped it with the "Luis" sauce -- although it didn't dawn on us until later the gamble we took in using the two-year-old package.

Pizza turned out well. Too bad we can't say the same for "Wanda at Large," "Luis" and "Boston Public."
