Rebecca at Save the Derby asked us to forward some shots of Los Feliz, as she prepares a powerpoint presentation on the close-knit Los Feliz neighborhood, and how the Derby building is an important part of that fabric.
We were happy to oblige. The presentation will be part of tomorrow's Town Hall meeting, in which residents are invited to come and show their support for keeping the building as it is.
Want to stop developers from tearing down the Derby? The Town Hall meeting, organized by the Greater Griffith Park Neighborhood Council, will be held Thursday, 7 pm at 2071 Dracena Ave.
Meanwhile, more info can be found at the Save the Derby blog, which has details of last weekend's benefit at the Derby, as the Royal Crown Revue performed in support of the old building. KCBS covered the event... but, as the blog disappointedly notes, the story was cut off by coverage of a freeway chase. Only in L.A., kids.
