Time to check in on the LA Public Health restaurant closures site.
First up, LAX was hit twice in November. Air France's first class lounge -- that's right, the first class lounge -- was shut down for a few days in early November due to "prevention of entrance and harborage of vermin" and "vermin infestation." Can't blame them from wanting to take a look at how the other half lives.
Asiana Airlines' lounge was shut down at the same time. Both re-opened quickly.
Meanwhile, next time you're brunching at Hugo's in West Hollywood, make sure that's definitely a raisin on your toast. The popular brunch spot shut down for three days in early December due to "prevention of entrance and harborage of vermin" and "vermin infestation."
Hitting close to Franklin Avenue's heart, the Vallarta supermarket we raved about in November had some problems in the Northridge location we frequent. The Vallarta branch's bakery was shut down for two days last week due to vermin.
Of course, the usual round of McDonald's, Subway, KFC and Church's Chicken locations were also hit.
