Traveling Through 1890s and Early 1900s Los Angeles
Larry Harnisch, who has spent a great deal of time researching the Black Dahlia mystery through the years, has posted a fascinating series of panoramas from turn-of-the-century Los Angeles. It's an L.A. that we wouldn't recognize now -- and also one that is the focus of The 1947 Project, which this week finished chronicling Los Angeles in the year 1947, and moved on to an even earlier time, 1907. Harnisch, by the way, is now a contributor to the 1947 Project's new, revived website.
